Leesha Intellectual Property (IP) & Copyright Policy

Effective Date: June 5, 2025

Leesha respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users, sellers, and partners to do the same. This IP & Copyright Policy explains how Leesha handles claims of infringement, the responsibilities of content creators and sellers, and what rights Leesha retains over platform content.

1. Ownership of Platform Content

All content on the Leesha platform—including but not limited to logos, software, design, images, videos, graphics, recipes, trademarks, and written materials—is either the property of Leesha Jai Ltd or used with permission under license.

These materials are protected by Nigerian copyright law and international IP treaties. Unauthorized use or reproduction of platform content is strictly prohibited.

2. Seller and User Content

By uploading or submitting content (including images, recipes, descriptions, videos, logos, or brand elements) to Leesha, you confirm that:

You own the intellectual property rights to that content or have permission from the rightful owner.
You grant Leesha a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute the content for marketing, platform display, and other operational purposes.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe on the rights of third parties.

3. Infringement Claims

If you believe that any content on Leesha infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please notify us with the following information:

Your full legal name and contact information
A description of the copyrighted work or IP being infringed
The exact URL or reference to the infringing content
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your claim is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on behalf of the owner

4. Repeat Infringers

Leesha maintains a zero-tolerance policy for repeated IP violations. Users or sellers found to have repeatedly posted infringing content may face:

Content takedowns
Temporary or permanent account suspension
Legal action, if applicable

5. Counter-Notification

If your content has been removed due to an IP complaint and you believe this was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notification including:

Your name, address, and email
A statement explaining why the content was removed in error
Your consent to Nigerian jurisdiction in case of a legal dispute
A sworn declaration that your statement is true

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the content unless the original complainant initiates legal action within 10 business days.

6. Use of Leesha Brand

The Leesha name, logo, and branding elements are registered trademarks of Leesha Jai Ltd. You may not use these elements without prior written permission unless authorized as a seller under Leesha’s branding guidelines.

Unauthorized use of Leesha’s trademarks for promotions, impersonation, or fraud will result in immediate account suspension and possible legal consequences.

7. Policy Updates

Leesha may update this IP Policy from time to time. The date of the most recent revision will always be listed at the top. We encourage users to check periodically for updates.
