Leesha Disclaimer and Liability Waiver

Please read this Disclaimer and Liability Waiver carefully before using Leesha’s services. By accessing or using our platform (website or mobile app), you agree to the terms below.

1. Platform Disclaimer

Leesha is a marketplace platform that connects customers with independent home bakers and food vendors (“Sellers”). We do not prepare, store, deliver, or inspect the food products listed by Sellers.

While we vet Sellers to the best of our ability, Leesha:

  • Does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of food listed or sold.

  • Is not liable for any food-related issues, including but not limited to food poisoning, allergic reactions, cross-contamination, or delivery delays.

  • Does not supervise Sellers during food preparation or handling.

2. Allergy and Ingredient Disclaimer

Buyers are solely responsible for:

  • Checking product descriptions for allergen or dietary information.

  • Communicating directly with Sellers about food allergies, dietary restrictions, or ingredient concerns before placing an order.

Leesha disclaims all responsibility for any allergic reactions or health complications resulting from food purchased through the platform.

3. Seller Responsibility

Each Seller is an independent operator and is solely responsible for:

  • The hygiene and safety of their kitchen and preparation process.

  • Compliance with applicable health and food laws (e.g., NAFDAC standards or local regulations).

  • Fulfilling orders accurately and delivering them on time.

4. Payment and Delivery Disclaimer

Leesha facilitates payments but does not:

  • Guarantee successful delivery by Sellers.

  • Take responsibility for damages or delays caused during delivery, unless directly handled by Leesha’s logistics (if applicable).

  • Hold liability for loss of funds due to incorrect user payment information.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Leesha, its founders, employees, agents, or affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of profit or personal injury) arising out of your use of the platform.

  • If Leesha is found liable under any circumstance, our total liability will not exceed ₦10,000 or the amount paid by the user for the order in question, whichever is lower.

6. Use at Your Own Risk

You use Leesha and transact with Sellers at your own risk. We provide the platform “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

7. Indemnity

By using the platform, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Leesha, its directors, staff, partners, and affiliates from any claim or demand (including legal fees) made by any third party due to your:

  • Use or misuse of the platform.

  • Violation of this policy or any rights of another user or third party.

8. Legal Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable Nigerian laws regarding food safety, online payments, and platform usage. Leesha will cooperate with legal authorities if required.

9. Changes to This Disclaimer

Leesha reserves the right to update this Disclaimer and Liability Waiver at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the new terms.
